Lemonade

The long row of trees;
Splashing lemons
Are dissolving on the ground

  1. Very nice, Carla;

    Was it a mountain scene, near or in a village; were the lemons just below a tree or near a merchant's stall?

  2. Thanks Paul!
    Well, it's in Sahel Alma Jounieh, along the road where I walk, a long rainwater drain on the side of that road, where lemon trees are planted above which drop their fruits sometimes inside that drain ... it looks like an old village, a rooster and few chicken live under these trees, old houses and a valley of virgin bushes (where the "White collared cat" haiku also was made ... :-)

  3. Great;

    Is there a way to add any of your description above to the haiku, just to put in more of the feeling of the place?

  4. Thanks!!! :-) OK; to start with this one:

    Lemon Trees

    Shivering trees in the village pathway;
    Splashed lemons
    Turn the draining waters into lemonade

  5. Lemonade

    A cool breeze along the village's alley;
    Splashing lemons
    Are dissolving in the rainwater drain

  6. My last modification:

    The long row of trees;
    Splashing lemons
    Are dissolving on the ground

    The original was:

    The fallen lemons;
    Running waters on the road
    Are turning into lemonade
