Milk?

Cutting the onion root,
White juice emerges
From inside out

  1. Two questions:

    - why the "onion root" and not the "onion"? (I'm ignorant, that's why I'm asking!) :-)
    - why "inside out"? Isn't emerging always from inside out?

I can see the image, but I didn't catch the "aha" moment; maybe you did but can show it in some other way?

  2. Hi again :)
Paul, you're not ignorant, but only curious :))

Well, when I was cooking, to cut the onion in slices, one starts by cutting the root which is the hard part on the top. And when I cut it, I digged deeper and removed more of the hard part when suddenly white liquid overflowed and filled the hole.
As for "inside out" I felt like giving another similar image to accentuate my surprise. I first thought it wasn't a good idea to repeat, but then I imagined it the way children tell things by explaining twice or more (with hands and eyes) ...
I could work more on it if you prefer, Paul .. any suggestions??

  3. While driving tonight, I pictured how the white juice emerged:

    Cutting the onion root,
    White juice emerges
    Like a flower in bloom
